Moonlight in a mountain,
Rain shines so high I can weep,
Grasses falling in a heap,
The nothing overtakes at enormous pace
To reveal everything
In its wake.
pray, tell of open is it free -
closed like a wooden block never touched,
forget you knew the water
since only the grains inside
speak of the passing of life once was never still.
sleep is too good for us
endless sitting straight as dice
lucky we dream of wood
so we don't awaken to the ice. folds. over and around
the measured beats of a constant heart
turning as the veins in a silent block.
sleep is not good enough for us
who dream even of a wooden sky
a wooden ocean, wooden fire.
rainbow glinting from long-gone crystal flow of icy casual-ty.
you wooden stay
i wooden go,
the river turns into a block uncut
turns into a corner around into a lane
in the lane a sheltered door
and on the step a box of pain,
leaking tears and sweat and blood. |
Peace for a price
Of gold and glory
Nobody walks along this Way
Find it if you can
It’s a long trip if you can’t
Now see the eyes
That speak in volumes
Of pages turning
Like the weather
Forecast woe
Playing for keeps
An early retirement
Very slow day
Back to bed undercover
Nothing mars escape
Like the walls beyond walls
Nothing makes confinement
Like the space beyond space
Go ahead
Fall behind
All this talk about
What isn’t there anyway
Small price to pay for no
Mind.

oh how fucked up life can be
pissing away the summer before a screen
facing me with Yes and No
the multitudes above
see no-one except me when they look down below
the beauty of dying to certainty true
will stop them from ever seeing clear through
now just getting by on the taste of the air
the food smells like nothing when no-one's to share it
and if ever the wind blows agin my doorframe
i'll hope it's a demon who loves me by name
there's one way to feel that a life is worth living
by meaningful taking exchanging and giving
yet since today the darkness falls
alone like a man in the forest
there's nothing to share or to whisper "i care"
into an ear turned towards emptyness...... |
